Beta

The P4 Beta Range consists of Beta wall mounted and Beta IP65 wall mounted models.

Beta wall mounted models are internally illuminated, single sided powder coated, sheet steel box style signs. Incorporating opal legend panel(s), with die-cut pictogram legends, internally illuminated by LED light sources. Downlight illumination is provided to assist in the illumination of door furniture and other specific locations. Suitable for up to 36 metre maximum viewing distance. Sign illumination complies fully with BS EN 1838 requirements. This range of signs may be used on escape routes and in open areas. All Beta sign luminaires are constructed to fully comply with BS EN 60598 and emergency lighting versions with BS EN 60598-2-22.

Beta IP65 models are designed for wall mounting but can also be ceiling mounted. Housed in an IP65 ABS enclosure with clear polycarbonate cover, this range can be installed in external locations or locations in which they may need to resist the ingress of moisture and/or dust. With the same full range of sign formats available, suitable for viewing distances up to 36m and with no glass components, this range is also ideal for food preparation and similarly demanding locations.

Specifications

(Wall or ceiling mounted, single or double sided, powder coated steel sign luminaire with integral downlight panel*/ IP65 wall
mounted, single sided sign luminaire in a flame retardant, injection moulded housing with grey back box and clear polycarbonate front cover*) for emergency lighting, mains lighting or static inverter and central battery slave operation¤. Shall be supplied with (white*/black*/chrome*/brass*/RAL [Insert RAL number]*) finish¤. Legend pictogram for 36m maximum viewing distance shall be available in the following formats:

• BS 5499 format
• European Signs Directive format
• Cinemas and Theatres format¤
• BS EN ISO 7010 format
• Hospital Technical Memorandum (HTM) format.

Legend panels shall be illuminated by a white multiple LED light source and illumination shall comply with the requirements of
BS EN 1838: 2013. Emergency lighting versions shall be capable of non-maintained or maintained operation, shall incorporate rechargeable batteries for 3 hours emergency duration and Fastel fully automatic, self-testing facilities complying with BS EN 62034, with status indication by a multi-function dual-colour LED indicator.

All models shall be supplied from a (230V±10% ac 50/60Hz*/50V ac/dc¤*/110V ac/dc¤*) input and shall be provided with a six year warranty, including rechargeable batteries in emergency lighting versions.

Emergency lighting versions shall comply with BS EN 60598-2-22 and shall be (Fastel Standalone*/ Fastel Link*/ Fastel Wireless*) operation.
