Embedded Software Engineer

Are you based in the UK, a highly motivated individual looking to join a friendly team? If so P4 Ltd could be the right move for you.

We are offering a salary up to £70K per annum, plus quarterly bonuses, 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) and pension contribution. In addition there is a cumulative loyalty bonus of £50 per year payable on anniversary month of your start date. During the first 10 years your holiday allowance will increase to a maximum of 34 days (an additional day after 3, 6, and 10years). You will need to attend the office during your probation period, it will be essential to understand the company and our products. Hybrid working will be negotiated during and following a successful probation.

In the first year, multiple trips will be required to our sister company based in Switzerland, expenses will be covered. The company will provide you with Laptop/Computer, including a web-based phone system. While attending the office for more than 1 day, if needed hotel accommodation will be arranged for you.

Embedded Software Engineer

  • Using your skill, know-how, and experience, you will carry out challenging projects in the world of emergency lighting in an international environment.
  • The development of wireless connectivity will be the centrepiece of your activity.
  • Development of bus communication systems, utilising wired and wireless communication.
  • Cloud based solution development and reactive maintenance.

Tasks

  • Maintenance and ongoing development of existing wireless bus communication
  • Maintenance and ongoing development of existing wired bus communication
  • Maintenance and ongoing development of cloud based solution
  • Development of extensions for existing products and systems
  • Implementation of product and system changes
  • Participation in customer meetings
  • Product industrialisation support

 

Experience

  • University-level degree in Electronics Engineering or practical experience in bus communication systems
  • Visual C++
  • Microcontrollers
  • Embedded software
  • Hardware (optional)
